FAQ — Ysoma Logistics Ltd

Question 1

How do I register interest?

Accepted Answer

Complete the Register Interest form and select how you would like to work with YSOMA. This is an initial enquiry and does not guarantee acceptance, contact, work or a vehicle.

Question 2

What is Driver Membership?

Accepted Answer

Driver Membership allows you to create a more detailed profile and choose whether to receive suitable opportunity updates. Membership does not guarantee work or an introduction.

Question 3

What documents may be requested?

Accepted Answer

Depending on the opportunity, YSOMA may request identity, driving-licence, right-to-work, insurance, vehicle and other relevant documents. Only provide documents through an authorised YSOMA process.

Question 4

How long does the review take?

Accepted Answer

Review times vary according to demand, location, available opportunities and the checks required. YSOMA does not guarantee a response or completion within a fixed time.

Question 5

Are routes or working days guaranteed?

Accepted Answer

No. Registering, verification or membership does not guarantee a route, minimum number of days, earnings or continuing work.

Question 6

Where does YSOMA currently operate directly?

Accepted Answer

YSOMA's current direct operating areas are SW17, KT10 and TW13. Other locations may be considered when another logistics business requests suitable drivers.

Question 7

Can I choose my working hours?

Accepted Answer

Self-employed drivers provide their availability, but each accepted service may have agreed collection, delivery and completion requirements. Full details should be reviewed before accepting an opportunity.

Question 8

Do I need my own van?

Accepted Answer

Not always. Eligible Drivers may be offered a separate van lease arrangement. Own Van Drivers must own or lease a suitable plain white or neutral van.

Question 9

Can I use a YSOMA van for other delivery businesses?

Accepted Answer

No. YSOMA-owned vans carry client livery and may only be used for services authorised by YSOMA under the applicable agreement.

Question 10

What happens if a van needs repairs?

Accepted Answer

Responsibility depends on the vehicle arrangement and written agreement. Own van drivers remain responsible for maintaining a safe, roadworthy and properly insured vehicle. Lease responsibilities will be explained in the applicable lease terms.

Question 11

How are rates and payments agreed?

Accepted Answer

Rates, invoicing and payment arrangements are confirmed in the relevant written agreement before services begin. Terms may differ between direct YSOMA services and opportunities introduced through YSOMA's For Businesses service.

Question 12

Am I automatically self-employed because I register with YSOMA?

Accepted Answer

No. The opportunities are intended for self-employed delivery service providers, but legal status depends on the written agreement and the actual working arrangements. Drivers are responsible for their own tax and National Insurance obligations and should obtain independent advice where necessary.

Question 13

Will my details automatically be shared with businesses?

Accepted Answer

No. Registering interest or creating a membership profile does not authorise automatic sharing. Before an intended introduction, you will be told what information may be shared and with whom.

Question 14

Can I stop receiving opportunity updates?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Opportunity updates are optional, and you may unsubscribe or change your preferences at any time.

Question 15

How does YSOMA charge businesses for introductions?

Accepted Answer

YSOMA charges the requesting business an agreed flat introduction fee. YSOMA does not take a percentage of the driver's earnings.

Question 16

Does YSOMA's verification replace our own checks?

Accepted Answer

No. Every business remains responsible for its own legal, contractual, operational, employment-status and suitability checks before engaging a driver.

Question 17

Can recruitment businesses work with YSOMA?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Recruitment businesses may apply through the Recruitment Partners page. Applications are reviewed, and submitting an application does not guarantee approval or access to drivers.

Question 18

How do I contact YSOMA?

Accepted Answer

Email ysoma@ysoma.com, call 075 70 808 808 or use the Contact page.
